Trend-bucking growth

Hagebau Austria has reported sales growth of 7.3 per cent to € 1.17 bn. Further growth of 3 per cent is expected for 2005. As the company announced in a press release, this result shows that Hagebau Austria is developing contrary to the downward trend in the industry. Factors contributing to the good outcome include new Hagebau stores opened at Deutschlandsberg and Perg, as well as the new Öbau outlets at Wolfsberg, Kammern and Piesting. At the end of 2004 Hagebau Austria had 39 voluntary partners with 156 outlets; the number of DIY stores amounted to 63.
