The Confidence Index of the AHMA went down by 50 per cent in September

The Home Improvement Industry Confidence Index that is compiled by the American Hardware Manufacturers Association from a monthly survey of its members fell in September to 45.8 points from 91.7 in the preceding month of August. This compares with the Future Index, which is also compiled on a monthly basis and reached an all-time high of 191.4 points in September, having stood at 170.7 points in August.
