The show offers the garden and leisure trades a wide-ranging spectrum of products. Comprising twelve different product categories in ten halls, Glee has become an annual centre of attraction for 25 000 visitors and more than 1 700 exhibitors from 86 countries, figures that it is expected will be exceeded this year.
The organisers will be putting a number of new ideas into practice this year. These include two new segments, Sports & Play and Out & About. What is more, the hall layout has been partly updated and the areas showing new products are positioned in prominent new locations. In addition there are numerous interesting seminars and demonstrations on offer. The displays have been colour-coded in order to make it easier for visitors to find their way through the exhibition halls. All the gardening-related areas are coded green (Halls 4 to 9). The purple-coded leisure segment (Halls 1 to 3) covers Sports & Play, Out & About, and Home & Gift. Visitors interested in pet products and aquatics should concentrate on the pink areas in Halls 4 and 3/3A.
Halls 1 and 2 accommodate the Outdoor Living section, which brings together under one roof the UK'S largest selection of outdoor furniture, barbecues and accessories displayed by 150 exhibitors. Suppliers of pools and wellness products are also represented here. The new Sports & Play category featuring around 20 firms is located in Hall 3/3A. Also in the same hall are more than 120 exhibitors presenting their products in the Home & Gift category, where the range includes Christmas decorations and chinaware. And to be seen within the framework of the Out & About segment will be clothing for garden and leisure pursuits exhibited by more than 20 suppliers.
Hall 4 is dedicated to Petindex, the only pet fair that is held in Britain. Water gardening is to be found in Hall 4/4A, where 30 firms will be displaying everything required for constructing and caring for a garden pond, together with fountains and other ornamental water features.
For many visitors the garden care segment in Hall 5 is a key component of the show. It offers fertilisers, pest control products, seeds and bulbs, irrigation systems and hand tools, along with machinery and equipment. Halls 6 to 8 are occupied by landscaping and horticulture. On display here will be fencing, containers, statuary and plant pots. Visitors will find a wide range of plants in Hall 9.
