Adeo distribution channel Obramat continues to expand

The Spanish building materials distribution chain Obramat, part of the French Adeo Group, has announced its further expansion. In November, the sales line changed its previous name Bricomart to Obramat, to underline that it is about materials for construction (Spanish "obra") and not for DIY ("brico").

The professional distribution channel has 32 locations with a total sales area of 250 000 m² in Spain. As reported by the Spanish industry service C de comunicación, another new opening is planned for mid-2023 in the Catalonia region. Adeo had already announced in the summer that Obramat would also be represented in Portugal from 2024. In the second half of the year, the first Portuguese store is to be opened in the capital Lisbon, after which one to two new branches are to be launched per year.
