Byggmakker acquires cooperative member Skattum

Byggmakker Handel AS, the Norwegian subsidiary of the Finnish Kesko Group, has acquired Skattum Handel, a member of its own cooperative organisation. Skattum, a Norwegian operator in the building and home improvement trade with net sales of approximately EUR 94 mio in 2017, operates ten Byggmakker stores under the retailer business model around Oslo.
There are currently 65 Byggmakker stores in Norway, most of which operate under the retailer business model. In 2017, Byggmakker Norway's net sales were EUR 397 mio. In Norway, Kesko's building and technical trade division also operates 25 Onninen stores.
