Byggmax boss Mattias Ankarberg leaves the company and the industry

Byggmax boss Mattias Ankarberg is leaving the company. After six years as president and CEO at the helm of the Swedish DIY group, he has informed the board that he will be moving to another company in a different industry. He will remain in his post at Byggmax until 9 August 2023.

During his time at Byggmax, the company has become much stronger, board chairman Anders Moberg commented on the announcement: "Byggmax has a stronger low price position, a much broader customer offer than just a few years ago, an ambitious sustainability agenda and record high employee engagement."
