Ferger's two key messages were that "Our shows at the venue here are safe" and "the physical fair is always the core and starting point", even if an expanded digital offering will feature. This will prolong visits to the fair and conversely offer exhibitors the opportunity to reach international buyers who are unable to travel. The fair company has refined its online ordering platform Nextrade for this purpose.
As far as the hygiene and safety concept is concerned, the current status is that the 3G rules apply. Tickets must be purchased in advance, there will be no ticket sales on site.
Significantly reduced contingent from China
The organiser reports good bookings for all four trade shows, anticipating a good response from abroad. According to the latest information, entry into Germany is possible for business travellers from virtually all countries without the need to quarantine. Ferger conceded, however, that "participation by Chinese exhibitors and visitors would be significantly reduced on account of the considerable restrictions on travel there".
The fair dates for 2022 are: Christmasworld 29 January to 2 February, Paperworld and Creativeworld 30 January to 2 February, Ambiente 11 to 15 February.
