Around 10 000 trade visitors are expected to attend this year’s Eurobrico in Valencia.
By doubling the exhibition space the organisers have been able to achieve one important aim. However, it is hoped that the coming event will also be characterised by a stronger international dimension. To ensure these goals, Eurobrico is being promoted at many international fairs related to the DIY industry with the intention of further increasing the sector’s awareness of the event and making clear the prospects it is opening up as a platform for business. The Spanish DIY market is developing, a fact that is demonstrated not only by an increase in large-format stores, but above all by the involvement of the hardware cooperatives, which are developing independent marketing modules for the DIY sector.
Last year furniture suppliers were much in evidence.
Eurobrico was set up last year in order to meet the demands from both suppliers and buyers for one single Spanish DIY fair, a fair run by and for the industry.
Last year saw Eurobrico in a position to welcome 5 000 trade visitors from ten countries. This year the expectation is for 10 000 trade visitors to attend, with the emphasis on awakening international interest in particular. Which is the reason why not only all the major buyers in the Spanish DIY business are being invited, but all the major international DIY chains are being targeted by an intense promotional campaign as well. The long-term goal is an ambitious one: Eurobrico is to become one of the leading international events for the DIY industry.
