Expansion eastwards

Baumax has announced this year’s plans for expansion. Within Austria the company intends to open three Mega-Baumax stores at Klosterneuburg, Amstetten and Graz. Two new stores and ten extensions to existing locations are scheduled for the Czech Republic, where there will be 22 branches operative by the end of the year. Likewise, two new outlets are to be inaugurated in Slovakia, increasing the number of locations there to ten. Two outlets are being extended as well. There will be 13 branches of Baumax in Hungary  by the end of the year, following the establishment of one more store there. Three store extensions are also being planned. One of the three DIY stores in Slovenia is being renovated. One new opening is on the schedule for Croatia, where the group operates one location so far.
