French DIY stores report nine per cent increase in November

Record growth has been reported by the French DIY trade for November 2019. Sales in the industry lay 8.91 per cent above the November 2018 level. However sales at that time had plummeted by 5.27 per cent compared to the previous year. These figures, established by the Banque de France, have been published by the French DIY retail association FMB.
French DIY stores are expected to complete the recently closed year with a slight growth in sales. "The year 2019 is in the clear," says Mathieu Pivain, president of FMB, because figures accumulated up to and including November result in an increase of 1.60 per cent.
