Sales of € 25.6 mio recorded by hypermarkets and DIY stores to end October 2007 reveal growth of 8.7 per cent by value in the French market for alarm technology. Growth in terms of volume amounted to 2 per cent based on 142 000 units, according to figures provided by GfK Marketing Services France. The market researchers claim that the market for alarm technology is currently one of the most significant categories in the range of products available in DIY stores.
