A new range is being tested. The market volume in this sector in the United Kingdom has grown by 22 per cent over the last five years

Sainsbury’s is entering the home furnishings market. Lighting is one of the more than 150 “soft” product lines being tested at a store in York. The reason why the group is taking this step is that home furnishings is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK. According to figures from Mintel Research, over the last five years the market volume has grown by 22 per cent to £ 2.4 bn (€ 3.9 bn).
