Ferroforma, the international hardware fair, will open its doors in the Spanish city of Bilbao from 23 to 26 September. A quarter of the exhibitors will be present for the first time
Ferroforma is the most important hardware fair in Spain and continuously growing in international significance. Exhibitors will be coming to Bilbao from 25 countries. The visitors’ side has also become more and more international. In 1998 just 6.4 per cent of the 21 249 trade visitors registered came from abroad, which makes an increase of 66 per cent. Overseas visitors came to Bilbao from 66 countries for this major trade event. The majority of these, or 85 per cent of foreign visitors, came from countries within Europe. Altogether 20 per cent more trade visitors were recorded in 1998 than in 1996.
The tried and tested organisation of the exhibition halls into 13 product areas will remain unchanged this year again. The product spectrum will range from hardware and hand or power tools to DIY and garden products plus housewares and through to industrial and metalworking requirements as well as woodworking and building machinery.
