The Solar Company has added the “Capella” range of solar powered metal lights to its product programme. The aluminium lights come in a traditional coach lamp design, making them a decorative feature in the garden during the day as well. There is a choice of two mounting options, either the traditional post and stake or suspended from a shepherd’s crook (v. photo). The lights work by charging in the day and storing the converted energy in rechargeable batteries. All the lights use thin film silicon solar panels manufactured by the Solar Company. These panels are especially efficient at low light levels, which is ideal for the northern European climate.

New packaging concept
The new “Vario Line” series of pumps from Heissner features a completely reworked packaging concept and is being marketed as a special offer. Integrated into Heissner’s pond pump packaging for the first time is a second lid, which gives the cardboard added stability and also offers space on its underside for additional product information. This lid can be opened as often as required without damaging the packaging since use is made of a small Velcro fastening to close it. A transparent foil display window allows the customer to view the product without having to open the box. A system of photos and diagrams provides information about areas of application for the pumps and their operative capability. The pump series is offered together with a merchandiser for display purposes.
