The Taiwan Hardware Show once again increased the number of exhibitors and visitors in 2016. The three day show, which took place in the middle of October in Taichung, the centre of the Taiwanese hardware industry, was attended by 29 903 visitors from 68 countries. That was eleven per cent more than in the previous year. The number of purchasers who came from overseas was4 109 (i.e. around 13 per cent of the visitors). According to the visitor country rankings, the majority of the visitors from abroad came from Japan, followed by Korea, the USA, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Indonesia and Singapore.
The exhibition floor space increased by 16 per cent compared to the previous year. The total number of exhibitors increased by five per cent to 403, the number of international exhibitors rose by 33 per cent. Exhibitors in the automotive supplies and accessories section increased by 17 per cent, and exhibitors in the tools and accessories section increased by 19 per cent. Further product categories on show at the fair were locks and fittings, fasteners and fittings, building supplies, garden and outdoor equipment, machines and plant equipment, and safety equipment and products.

According to Gerd Keim, Managing Director of Kaigo, organizer of Taiwan Hardware Show (THS), "With large global demand and popularity of Taiwan manufactured hardware, THS moved the market towards in-trend hardware and latest industrial tools characterized by the country's innovation and technological capabilities."
The Taiwan Hardware Show took place for the 16th time. The show sees itself as a robust one-stop sourcing and information platform for visiting buyers and trade professionals. Various seminars and concurrent events augmented the show.
The exhibition area for tools and accessories increased by almost 20 per cent.
More than 4 000 visitors from overseas attended the show.
