Promart considers expansion into Ecuador

Peruvian home improvement chain Promart is considering entering the market in neighbouring Ecuador. CEO Verónica Valdez said this in an interview with the newspaper El Comercio. Promart currently has 33 stores, with two more to be added in Peru's capital Lima. After the boom of 2020 and 2021, economic conditions are now different and they are returning to normality, according to Valdez. She added that the very high inflation is having an impact on families' consumption patterns.
