The exhibiting companies, as always, come from the four segments of tools, fastening and fixing technology (including window, door and furniture fittings), construction and DIY supplies as well as industrial supplies (among other things, pneumatic tools, high-pressure cleaners, welding and soldering equipment). This year, they also have Hall 11 available for their presentations, so that the trade fair now takes place in six halls.
For products in the segment construction and DIY supplies, there is once again the DIY Boulevard in Cologne which this time has even been extended to 285 metres - so it has grown by 20 per cent compared to 2018. This is where exhibitors present their products in an environment which reflects POS. With 62 participating companies, the Boulevard was already fully booked six months before the event this time.
Koelnmesse is also pleased to have received exhibitor confirmation from the CAS cooperative in the field of tools. The cross-manufacturer battery system Cordless Alliance System (CAS), which was initiated by Metabo, is currently used by 13 power tool manufacturers. It enables more than 140 machines and devices to be used with the same battery. For users, this has the advantage that they only need one charging unit for all of these tools.
