The world of paint

The company’s history has its roots in a small paint shop, which Johann Berghofer opened at Schwaz in 1934. He began to produce oil paints, flatting agents, polishes and floor care products in the stock rooms belonging to the shop. The Adler brand is what eventually developed out of this little paint shop.
Nearly 13 000 tons of paint leave the factory in Schwaz annually to supply customers in more than 20 countries. Exports account for 33.5 per cent of total production. Italy and Germany are the chief export markets, and the company is also actively represented in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland and Greece.
Windows, doors, shutters and garage doors have that freshly spruced-up look thanks to Pullex Renova.
The company claims market leadership in Austria in the field of furniture finishes and window coating systems, and also in the DIY sector. Products for DIYers are distributed in Austria by 160 specialist paint dealers known as the Adler Farbenmeister.
Already more than 60 per cent of the 2 300 standard products manufactured by the company are water-based, and proof of the seriousness with which environmental issues are viewed is documented by the Conservation & Recycling Centre that was opened in 1995. The paint manufacturer has been awarded the “Responsible Care” certificate as acknowledgement of its commitment to environmental issues.
The new products launched this year include Pullex Renova, a renovating paint, and the Door Cleaner and Door Finish duo for the care of entry doors.
Pullex Renova is a renovating paint for windows, doors, shutters and garage doors. It is free from aromatic solvents, and contains special pigments and UV filters that ensure long-term protection against the weather. The paint is quick and easy to apply. It is a useful addition to the Pullex series as a product specially designed for the renovation of dimensionally stable structural elements.
The Door Cleaner and Door Finish set is suitable for entry doors with either transparent or opaque coatings.
The door care set consisting of Door Cleaner and Door Finish was developed for use on entry doors and garage doors with both transparent and opaque coatings. It works in two stages: the Door Cleaner dissolves embedded dirt and degreases the painted surface. The Door Finish then removes stains and dust, while at the same time forming a protective film against pollution and water that also prevents streakiness.
