The figures were published by the U.S. Census Bureau in its monthly sales report. Building materials and garden equipment and supplies dealers are included in the relevant statistics (NAICS 444). Sales overall in the retail and food services sector in the USA rose in the first six months by 22.8 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year.
