Leroy Merlin conversions in Romania

The French DIY store operator Leroy Merlin opened its third outlet in Romania in Ploiesti in mid-May. The new Leroy Merlin store in the eastern European country has a retail area of around 12 000 m². It is also the first former Baumax store to reopen under the Leroy Merlin banner.
Last year Leroy Merlin (Groupe Adeo) acquired all 15 Romanian stores belonging to the Austrian retailer Baumax and intends to continue running them under its own brand.
